Aimpoint CompM4s Red Dot Sight: Reasons To Buy It

Aimpoint CompM4s Reflex Sights are rugged precision red dot sights developed mainly for military and law enforcement applications. Aimpoint red dot sights are designed for the “two eyes open” method of sighting, which greatly enhances situational awareness and target acquisition speed. Thanks to the parallax-free design, the dot follows the movement of the user’s eye while remaining fixed on the target, eliminating any need for centering. Further, the Sight allows for unlimited eye-relief and is compatible with 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation night vision devices.

The CompM4s Sights are using an AA size battery, which together with the extremely low power consumption gives an unequalled battery life. The CompM4s combine the superior accuracy and ease of use of the well-known CompM2 model with significantly longer battery life and increased ruggedness through reinforced design.

The best part of this Aimpoint red dot sight is that it comes with an integral mount. The mount is such that it ratchets to prevent guys from “monkey tightening” the mount and breaking it. It also enables the shooter to have a sight that will return to zero. The LaRue mount locks onto the rail like his other mounts and will also return to zero. The 2 MOA dot in CompM4s Sights is easy to acquire at CQB distance. If you turn up the brightness, it actually appears bigger. At least it did to me. At distance, the 2 MOA dot is sufficient to allow the shooter to achieve MOA accuracy (assuming the shooter does their part). The CompM4 has 7 NVD compatible settings and 9 daylight settings. Battery life is 80,000 hours. That is about 7 years. Impressive, eh?

Aimpoint CompM4s

The Aimpoint red dot sights have always been popular for their accuracy and battery life. Aimpoint CompM4s reviews all over the Internet will also tell you how they are blessed with remarkable battery life. But the main USP of this device is that these are available with an integral mount.

Finally, a word of caution, there are two models as far as these reflex sights are concerned: Aimpoint CompM4s and CompM4. Although they have similar features and functions, the length and width will vary according to the models. So take a good look before you purchase.
